LA FAMILIA SANCHEZ: MIRACLES HAPPEN ONE AT A TIME!

Pictured here is the Sanchez Family with two of our elders, Elder Lopez and Elder Thompson.  The family consists of the mother, Elena,  her 23 year old daughter, April and her 18 year old son, Alan.

You can see Alan and April pictured among this group "all arrayed in spotless white", as they prepared to be baptized in November 2018 in Los Reyes Stake.

The miracles began unfolding when Elder Lopez and his former companion, Elder Hales worked in this area of our mission.  On one preparation day in June 2018, they received a reference from the Mexico City Temple and for one reason or another they were never able to contact this family.  Some weeks later, Alan called the missionaries and set up an appointment with these missionaries!  They were very excited (!!!) to meet this family.

On the day of this first appointment, the missionaries prayed that this family could find the true Gospel through their teachings.  The missionaries taught and testified to this family and felt the Spirit very strongly during their lessons.  Alan immediately accepted the invitation to be baptized and eventually was baptized on August 25, 2018.

Elena, the mother, kept learning more and more about the Gospel, and accepted an invitation to be baptized...and was baptized, exactly 6 weeks later on Oct. 6, 2018.

Then exactly 6 weeks later, the sister, April, was baptized on November 11, 2018. (pictured above)

What joy!  This family now has a firm testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, of the Holy Ghost and is now persevering to the end!

Miracles happen, one at a time, and missionaries have "front row seats" to the miracles!

This is a choir formed to sing at the meeting to create the Texcoco District.  You will see they are dressed in black and all have matching white/silver scarves.  It is very common here that stake/district choirs wear matching colors/clothes to perform.  The saints love to sing and sing with great feeling. Although many wards do not have any one to play the piano, all the members sing out with enthusiasm and always (ALWAYS) sing all the verses to a hymn.
